A nice 35 year old lady from Buckeye, Arizona presented to our Phoenix, Arizona area medical and plastic surgery practice with and interest in a mommy makeover. Her story was special because during pregnancy she had gained over 100 pounds. At one point she weighed 246 pounds. She had done a great job at loosing a lot of weight. She came to the office weighing in at 131 pounds and wanted to discuss what to do about all the extra abdominal skin and deflated breasts. She had been thinking about breast augmentation and tummy tuck for many years and had already seen other plastic surgeons. She and I sat down and discussed her priorities. She wanted the softest breasts possible, that appeared very natural and looked great for her frame. She wanted a tight tummy and for me to remove the loose skin. After I examined her, I found she was a good candidate for surgery and offered a mommy makeover type I, including breast augmentation with silicone breast implants and an extended tummy tuck to aggressively remove the loose skin after major weight loss. Before cosmetic surgery, she is 5 feet 4 inches and 131 pounds. With the breasts, she wanted to establish a solid full C cup. Her operation was performed at a local Arizona plastic surgery center, with an over night stay and a pain reducing pump for the greatest comfort. Her breast augmentation was performed using silicone Memory Gel 375 cc moderate plus breast implants placed through a crease incision and under the muscle. The extended tummy tuck was performed using a very low incision technique and the abdominal muscles were tightened. A pain reducing pump was placed and the patient remained overnight. Her recovery went nicely after her mommy makeover. She is shown 2 months after the procedure and her photos demonstrate a tight and flat tummy, round and attractive breasts and an overall significant improvement in her figure. She mentioned at her last visit this new shape has brought her a lot more confidence.
