A nice 37 year old lady from Phoenix, Arizona is shown before and after lower body lift surgery and inner thigh lift, thigh liposuction. She lost 70 pounds with a stomach stapling surgery over a period of 10 years. Her weight has been stable for the past 3 years before requesting an improvement in her body and thigh contour. Her highest recorded body mass index was 44.6. At the time of surgery, her body mass index was 32.3. She was not happy with the excess skin in the tummy, hips and back after her weight loss. She wanted a lower body lift to improve her central figure and inner thigh lift with outer thigh liposuction to reduce her thighs. We decided on plastic surgery after major weight loss, including lower body lift and conservative liposuction to assist in the outer thigh lift. Before surgery, she is 5 feet 4 inches and weighed 188 pounds. Preoperative high protein supplements diet and bariatric vitamins were recommended. During the operation the tissue removed for the body lift weighed 3342 grams and from the inner thigh lift 834 g of tissue was removed from the thighs. The total weight of these specimens is 9.2 pounds. She spent one overnight stay at a local plastic surgery specialty hospital in Scottsdale.
