A 27-year old woman from the Phoenix, Arizona wanted to have a bigger butt. She also wanted a flatter tummy and an hourglass shape. She came to my office in Scottsdale, Arizona for a cosmetic surgery consult. She told me that she already had liposuction, with laser-assisted approach. She was not happy with this result, which was performed by a different surgeon. She told me she wished she would have known about me and the ability to remove fat from one area and place it in another are, in this case her buttocks! Her goal was to improve the size and definition of her butt via fat injections. She wanted her buttocks to look more round and attractive. She requested I use the fat in her tummy and thighs, hips, and back. She requested I move the fat into the buttocks at he same time. I explained to her that because she had liposuction before, it was going to harder to achieve her goals. Previous liposuction leaves less fat cell for me to use for fat transfer. The scar tissue also makes it harder to remove the fat cells. Before Brazilian butt lift, she is 5 feet 3 inches and 150 pounds. The operation was done at a local Phoenix plastic surgery and recovery center and she went home after surgery. I removed 3.8 liters of fat during surgery. Despite all the fat which was removed, I was only able to find 500 cc of fat to be transferred into each butt and outer thigh. The total volume of fat placed in buttocks and saddlebags was 1000 cc. Photos show her results at 5 months after Brazilian butt lift surgery shows and an excellent result from the augmentation and roundness of the buttocks.
