The Phoenix Art Museum

The Phoenix Art Museum located at 1625 N. Central Avenue, #1, Phoenix, is known as the southwest’s premier art exhibitor. It holds a collection of over 17,000 works of American, Asian, European, Latin-American, Western, Modern and Contemporary art pieces. In all, critically acclaimed works of art can be found housed in this facility. The Phoenix Museum of History

The Phoenix Museum of History located at 105 N. 5th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ, and is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and exhibiting the early history of Phoenix. Visitors of all ages enjoy interactive and educational exhibits showcasing Phoenix’s growth from a dusty desert town to a modern metropolis. The Heard Museum

The Heard Museum located at 2301 N. Central Avenue ,Phoenix, AZ, is a private, non-profit museum founded in 1929 by Dwight B. and Maie Bartlett Heard to house their personal collection of cultural and fine art. The mission and philosophy of the Heard Museum today is to educate the public about the heritage and the living cultures and arts of Native people. The internationally acclaimed Heard Museum is one of the best places to experience the myriad cultures and art of Native Americans of the Southwest. Diamondbacks, Suns, Coyotes, and Cardinals

There are 4 professional sport teams that play in this city. In fact, Phoenix is in an elite club of just eight U.S. cities that claim top professional teams in the four major sports. And, for those that do not get enough there is plenty of college football and basketball to go around. Essentially, sports are visible in the city all year round. The Valley also boasts Women's National Basketball League's Phoenix Mercury and the twice-Arena Bowl world champion Arizona Rattlers. In January, the Tournament Players Club of Scottsdale holds the Phoenix Open PGA tournament. This annual golf tournament is attended by more spectators than any other PGA tour event, drawing the best golfers in the world. Furthermore, the Phoenix International Raceway welcomes thousands of fans for NASCAR and Indy races throughout the year.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have been very successful, defeating, the New York Yankees in 2001, to give Arizona its first professional sports title. The Phoenix Suns, the Valley's oldest team continue to be a perennial contender. The team has been in the NBA playoffs every year since 1989 and twice to the NBA finals. With an exciting crew of players, it is just a matter of time until an NBA title is won. The Suns play at U.S. Airways Arena, located next to Bank One Ballpark, home to the Diamondbacks.

The Glendale Arena also serves as home to the Phoenix Coyotes professional hockey club. The Coyotes moved to the Valley six years ago and became an instant hit. The NFL Arizona Cardinals relocated to Phoenix in the spring of 1988 and play in Cardinals Stadium in Glendale, AZ. In summary, the sports landscape in Greater Phoenix remains incredibly diverse and has something to offer for fans of any sports.
