Male / 37

Here we have a patient originally from south Arizona, 37 years old at the time of cosmetic surgery, who requested plastic surgery after major weight loss. He consulted with me at my medical office near Phoenix, Arizona. Several years before he started looking for a plastic surgeon to perform belt lipectomy, he had a gastric bypass. After bariatric surgery, he lost 152 pounds. He became healthier as the weight started to come off. He developed a hernia at the incision for his gastric bypass. At my plastic surgery office, he told me he wished for a better body. He was considering a lower body lift or belt lipectomy. He was also considering a thigh lift. His bariatric surgeon referred him to several plastic surgeons, but he chose to have his body contouring surgery with me because he was very comfortable with the surgery plan. We decided the best approach was to proceed with a belt lipectomy and hernia repair. He wanted to make sure that an adequate lift of the pubic area was performed with the excess skin removal. His surgery was performed with the removal of 45 pounds of skin and fat during the belt lipectomy. Minimal lipo was used. The hernia was repaired at the same time. A mons pubis reduction and lift was completed. A small amount of lipo was also used to shape the mons area. He is shown 14 months after belt lipectomy in the before and after photos. He told me at his last medical follow up visit that he feels a tremendous amount of confidence in his new body.
