A 39 year old woman from Chandler, Arizona requested plastic surgery after major weight loss. She lost 125 pounds after undergoing gastric bypass surgery in 2004. Her weight has very stable for the past 24 months and she desired an improvement in her figure. Her highest recorded body mass index was 43.9. Before surgery, her body mass index was 25.4. She was not happy with the excess skin of the waist. She was also not happy with deflated and saggy breasts. She mentioned that after weight loss, she developed loose skin, a flabby tummy, saggy breasts and loss of breast volume. She wanted a lower bodylift to improve her central figure and a breast lift. We decided on plastic surgery after major weight loss, including lower body lift and breast lift with placement of breast implants. I also recommended lipo of the outer thighs to assist in the outer thigh lift. Before surgery, she is 5 feet 9 inches and weighed 174 pounds. The weight of the tissue removed with body lift was over 6 pounds. She spent 3 nights after surgery at a local cosmetic surgery hospital. Her before and after photos show her at 3 months after lower bodylift, anchor pattern breast lift using 485 cc moderate plus saline filled breast implants and outer thigh liposuction.
