Here is another case of extended tummy tuck after major weight loss. In this section, we see a 49 year old lady from Scottsdale, Arizona who came to my office near Phoenix, Arizona for a plastic surgery consultation. She had weighed in at 300 pounds at one time and lost 113 pounds after gastric bypass. I discussed a lower body lift and extended tummy. She also wanted a breast lift and breast implants to be performed at the same time. She came to the office weighing in at 187 pounds and wanted to discuss what to do about the extra skin in the tummy and her deflated breasts. We sat down and discussed her priorities, which included tightening her tummy and getting rid of the roll that was presently there. She also wanted a scar revision of the gastric bypass incision. In addition, she wanted the softest breasts possible that looked great for her frame. She wanted a tight tummy and for me to remove the loose skin. After I examined her, I found she was a good candidate for surgery and offered a mommy makeover type II, including breast lift with saline breast implants and an extended tummy tuck to accurately remove the loose skin after major weight loss. Before cosmetic surgery, she is 5 feet 8 inches and 187 pounds. The extended tummy tuck was performed using a very low incision technique and the abdominal muscles were tightened. A pain reducing pump was placed and the patient remained overnight. With the breasts, she wanted to establish a solid full D cup. Her operation was performed at a local Arizona plastic surgery center, with an over night stay. Her recovery went nicely after her mommy makeover. She is shown 2 months after the cosmetic surgery operation.
